All the early Plymouth Argyle team news ahead of Wycombe clash on Friday
Both teams are battling for promotion to the Championship as they compete for a play-off place.
Steven Schumacher’s side are currently 4th in the table going into Friday’s game, with Wycombe five points behind in 7th place.
A win could see Plymouth move eight points clear of the chasing pack and all but seal their place inside the top six positions.
That means that Schumacher will need all hands on deck for such a crucial game in their season.
The Pilgrims will be hoping that 19-goal man Ryan Hardie and captain Joe Edwards will be deemed fit for this game.
Both will be given the opportunity to prove their availability ahead of the clash with each player currently carrying knocks.
Hardie has missed the side’s last two games due to a thigh injury, while Edwards rolled over on his ankle towards the end of the team’s 0-0 draw with Burton Albion last Saturday.
Schumacher confirmed that both players are a concern, but that he knows they will do everything they can to prove their fitness ahead of Friday.
“Joe Edwards is the major concern from Saturday, although he came in [Monday] and said he felt a lot better than he did Sunday,” said the Plymouth boss, via Plymouth Live.
“I know if there is a slight chance of Joe Edwards being available he’s putting himself out there because that’s the character he is.
“We will have to assess him again today, hopefully he has improved again – I haven’t seen him this morning yet – and he has got a few more days to be right.”
Fulham loanee Steven Sessegnon will likely take Edwards’ place should he not be available for selection.
In the event that Hardie remains unavailable, then Niall Ennis and Jordon Garrick will continue to form a strike partnership up front for Schumacher’s side.
