All the delayed and cancelled flights from Manchester Airport on Wednesday, June 26

Manchester Airport is operating as usual following major disruption over the weekend when a power cut led to cancelled and delayed flights. The outage occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning and meant flats had to be cancelled from both Terminal 1 and 2 and for several hours.

It led to huge queues in the airport and a backlog of luggage as the baggage systems failed. It has since returned to its normal operations but the airport has warned that it will be busier than usual as passengers are put on new flights.

The power cut occurred during one of the airport’s busiest periods with people jetting off on holidays and thousands flying to Germany for the Euros. Around 100,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport throughout the duration of the tournament.
