All Manchester Airport delayed and cancelled flights amid major snow disruption on Sunday, January 5
All flights from Manchester Airport are delayed or cancelled this morning with runways temporarily closed due to the snow.
Shortly after 6am, the airport said it was looking to clear its runways 'as quickly as possible'. But they remained closed with a number of flights affected.
In a statement issued at 7.20am, Manchester Airport said: "Our runways remain closed as we continue to clear the airfield after continued heavy slow in the last hour. We prioritise the health and safety of our passengers and operations will resume as soon as possible.
"Please check with your airline for the latest flight information. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
It comes after the airport experienced delays of up to two hours during the Christmas period due to foggy conditions. Three weather warnings have issued across Greater Manchester today (January 5) including an amber alert for snow and ice which remains in place until midday.
Here are the latest delays (by 30 minutes or more) and cancellations at Manchester Airport as of 8.30am, according to flightradar24.
