All Kent Cricket League Premier Division matches abandoned due to rain

Rain meant all Kent League Premier Division matches were abandoned on Saturday.

Bexley remain top of the pile, nine points clear, after their washout at Minster.

An unbroken 80-run stand between Matthew Stiddard (44 not out) and Ben Aldred (23 not out) had taken them to 109-4 at the 25-over mark. Bill Prideaux (2-13) and Daniel Masters (2-50) took the wickets to fall.

Second-placed Lordswood had made a strong start at home to Sandwich Town, who were 58-3 after 17 overs.

South African overseas Thando Ntini (2-17) best with the ball while opener Ben Chapman was 15 not out for the away team.

Tunbridge Wells had got off to a blistering start at Hayes from the 13.2 overs which were possible.

A 33-ball Chris Williams 57 allowed them to make 107-1 before the elements intervened. Scott Gallagher (1-6) claimed the wicket to fall.

Basement boys Sevenoaks Vine made it to 57-2 from the 14 overs which were possible at home to St Lawrence & Highland Court.

Ben Price was 32 not out, as Ben Mills (1-16) and Jamie Hemphrey (1-28) took the only Sevenoaks scalps of the afternoon.

In what would have potentially been a key game at the foot of the division, visitors Blackheath - nine points ahead of resurgent second-bottom side Holmesdale - had reached 79-2 from 14.4 overs.

Jas Bassan (28) top scored, and Callum Gallagher (1-26) and Mike Bryant (1-34) got among the wickets for Vine.
