Alisson not back until after next international break with Caoimhin Kelleher set for extended run of Liverpool starts

Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is primed to significantly extend his run in Liverpool's starting team with number one Alisson Becker not set to return until after next month's international break.

The Reds will also be without Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota until after the end of March.

Becker has a hamstring injury, Alexander-Arnold aggravated a knee problem which sidelined him in January and Jones has an ankle strain and none will return before the 31 March Premier League match against Brighton.

Kelleher has deputised in goal in Becker's absence for the last three Premier League fixtures and the Cork native is in line to start Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

"Ali, muscle injury, after the international break, it will really take time," said Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders.

"Trent, lateral ligament. He will be after the international break. Jots, medial ligament. He will be after the international break.

"Curtis has high ankle strain. He will be (back) in and around the international break."
"After the international break means that we are not sure (the exact date)."

The fitness of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai is being monitored and a late decision will be made on Sunday about whether they can feature.
