Alisson, Ederson, Neuer, Courtois: FIFA 23’s highest-rated goalkeepers predicted

The build-up to the newest FIFA game is very much upon us.

Having looked into the best wingers and centre-backs, once again thanks to Dexerto, it is now time to discuss the goalkeepers and predict the highest-rated for FIFA 23.

Amongst the top dogs are a Brazilian duo of the Premier League and an evergreen German.

A debate between Ederson and Alisson for who is the best goalkeeper on the English shores has gone on for a few years now. Many would tend to lean towards the latter, the Liverpool man, but it is in fact Ederson who may well lead the way. The Manchester City shot-stopper is one of just two names who might break into the 90s, alongside Bayern Munich stalwart Manuel Neuer.

Joining Alisson at a predicted rating of 89 is a former Chelsea player. Thibaut Courtois received mixed reviews during his time in London, but with Real Madrid he has truly become one of the very best in the world. The Belgian was named as the Man of the Match in last season’s Champions League final, much to Jurgen Klopp’s chagrin.

Another pair of La Liga goalkeepers and then two Paris Saint-Germain players follow suit. Jan Oblak and Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona respectively are both predicted at a very strong 88 as they maybe enter the twilight of their career.

It is the case of a changing of the guard in the French capital, out with the old and in with the new in the nicest way possible. Keylor Navas has often been disrespected with both Real Madrid and PSG and he isn’t as important as he once was with the latter. Euro 2020 winner Gianluigi Donnarumma is the new face in between the sticks at the Parc des Princes, yet he comes in at 87, one rating below his teammate.

Amongst the rest worth noting in the predictions
