Alison Hammond flooded with supportive messages after emotional three-word update

Alison Hammond has been flooded with supportive messages after she shared a three-word message to her late mum. The This Morning star's beloved mother, Maria, tragically died in 2020 after a battle with liver and lung cancer.

At the time, Alison confirmed the sad news as she shared a sweet and poignant tribute to her. "Today I dedicate Valentine’s Day to my beautiful, wonderful Mother Maria who passed away from liver and lung cancer. Yesterday my family and I celebrated her amazing life and laid her to rest in a beautiful ceremony she would have been proud of," she said.

"Thank you mummy for giving me the strength to move forward in the knowledge that your ok and with God in Heaven now. I will always remember you and try and make you proud. I love you mum." Alison was then dealt even more heartache just a few months on when her dad Clifford also died.

Earlier this week, Alison shared her 'wish' that her mum was still alive as she moved into her new home. Taking to her Instagram Story, the Great British Bake Off host shared a video showing the view from her window. It showed a large garden with rolling green fields behind it.

"Feeling very emotional knowing that without all your support and love I wouldn't be looking at this view," the TV star started to type alongside the clip. "This is my new garden I would draw as a child but never dreamed it would be a reality. Thank you." It is then when she added: "Wish mum was here to see it."
