Alexis Sanchez nearly injured himself when meeting Marseille fans

Alexis Sanchez will be playing his football in Ligue 1 next season.

The Chilean international and Inter Milan mutually agreed to terminate his contract, which has allowed him to complete a free transfer to Marseille.

Sanchez spent two years on Inter’s books after joining the club from Manchester United on a permanent basis in 2020.

The 33-year-old forward played 108 times for the Italian outfit in total, scoring 20 goals, contributing 23 assists and winning three trophies – including the 2020/21 Serie A title.

So, it’s yet another new chapter in Sanchez’s already eventful career and it will be interesting to see how he gets on in France.

He’s a pale shadow of the player we previously saw light up the Premier League in an Arsenal shirt, but is still capable of producing moments of bona fide magic.

Sanchez also remains one of the biggest names in football, which is why Marseille fans are so excited to have him on board.
