Alex Telles makes Manchester United future admission amid Sevilla loan 'decision'

Alex Telles has admitted he is happy at Sevilla but refuses to look too far into the future amid reports the Spanish club will not make his loan move permanent.

Telles joined Sevilla on loan last summer, becoming one of several players loaned out as Erik ten Hag looked to trim his squad. The arrival of Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord - the United manager's first signing - to provide cover for Luke Shaw pushed the Brazilian further back in the pecking order.

Reports this week from Estadio Deportivo in Spain suggest that the La Liga side will not make the 30-year-old's loan move permanent, despite being pleased with his performances, because they are unwilling to meet United's valuation.

“What I have to do is my job in the best possible,” Telles told Estadio Deportivo, when asked about his future earlier this week. “I don’t think about the future because that depends on what I do now. Now I have to play and train.

“I’ve always said that I’m happy at Sevilla, I’m treated very well and now I have to play and do my best, which is the most important thing.”

Telles won't be eligible to play when his current side meet his parent club in the Europa League quarter-finals next month. United beat Sevilla's main rivals, Real Betis, in the last-16, grinding out a 1-0 win at the Estadio Benito Villamarin on Thursday after producing a brilliant 4-1 home win the week before.

Jorge Sampaoli's side have been sucked into a relegation battle this season, currently sitting in 13th place but only two points above the relegation zone.
