Alex Nankivel: ‘I had a real deep dive into why I behaved like I did on the pitch’
It’s hard to credit really. Off the pitch, Alex Nankivell is one of the most easy-going, engaging and good humoured players around. Yet he used to cross that white line and change character, so much so that his Munster team-mates quickly labelled him “Cranks”.
By his own admittance, his demanding on-field nature and critiques of team-mates only served to frustrate and distract him.
