Alex Giles signs for Isthmian Premier Division side Chatham Town after leaving League 2 Gillingham
Gillingham’s former professional Alex Giles has returned to Chatham Town with promotion on his mind.
Giles, 20, came through the youth ranks at Gillingham and played a handful of games in the EFL Trophy and an appearance against Swansea City in the League Cup earlier in the season.

He spent time on loan at National South side Aveley and had previously played for Chats after joining them on loan in December 2023.
The Gills released the defender following the expiry of his contract at the end of the 2024/25 season and has now joined Isthmian Premier Division side Chatham.
Following his signing, he told Chats: “I can’t wait to get started and back to the feeling of fighting for three points every week and doing well for the club.
