Alejandro Garnacho's actions in Chelsea training sum up person he is as staff opinion clear

Alejandro Garnacho's stint at Manchester United was characterised by his attitude and public outbursts, which drew criticism from fans.

However, since his arrival at Chelsea, the Argentine's approach to training has reportedly impressed the coaching staff. The 21-year-old ended his time at United in late August, sealing a £40m move to Stamford Bridge.

Garnacho was initially signed from Atletico Madrid for a nominal fee in 2020 and went on to make 144 appearances for the Reds. His career at Old Trafford ultimately came to an end after struggling to adapt to Ruben Amorim's system.

In December, he was dropped for the Manchester derby alongside Marcus Rashford, and later left out of the Europa League finale in Bilbao. Garnacho expressed his frustration over limited playing time in a post-match interview, and faced fan backlash in June when he posted a holiday photo wearing Rashford's Aston Villa shirt.

Upon returning from his holiday, the winger joined the so-called 'bomb squad' and requested his departure from Old Trafford. However, his tenure under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea seems to be taking a different trajectory.

According to Give Me Sport, Garnacho has made a positive impression on the Blues' staff at Cobham and they have been encouraged by his 'attitude and intensity' in training.

He's reportedly been putting in extra effort to enhance his decision-making in the final third and has made it a habit to stay behind after training to perfect his finishing and crossing.

Coaches are understood to view that commitment as a clear indication of his mindset. Sources within the camp also suggest that he's 'absorbing everything' and continues to be keen to make an impact.
