Aldi, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and M&S August bank holiday Monday opening hours and times

It may not feel like it but it's the August summer bank holiday this weekend.

The forecast for the remainder of the weekend does not look inspiring - with cloudy skies and sporadic rain expected throughout.

Regardless of your plans, it's worth remembering that Monday is a bank holiday so shops and supermarkets will alter their opening hours.

It can be easy to forget, but not something you want to be caught out by. If you are planning a trip on Monday then here are the opening hours for Aldi, Lidl, Asda , Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, M&S and Waitrose.

The budget supermarket branches will be open between 8am and 8pm on Monday.

Lidl will be open on Bank Holiday morning with most stores open from 8am to 8pm. You can check individual store opening hours here.

Asda, which has more than 630 stores across the UK, will be open as normal on Saturday (August 26) and Sunday (August 27). However its opening times for Monday (August 28) will vary across the country.

Some may open from as early as 6am though others may open a little later. Shoppers are being advised to use the store locator tool here to plan their visit and check opening times.

As a guide here are the opening hours for Asda Eastlands and Asda Hazel Grove on Monday.

Tesco stores will be open as usual on Saturday and Sunday, and on Monday most larger stores will be open between 8am and 6pm.
