Alcaraz dumped out of US Open second round by Van de Zandschulp

NEW YORK : Former U.S. Open champion Carlos Alcaraz was beaten 6-1 7-5 6-4 by unseeded Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp in the second round of the Grand Slam on Thursday.

Alcaraz never recovered from a shaky start and made unforced errors throughout as Van de Zandschulp ended the French Open and Wimbledon champion's 15-match winning run at the majors.
