Alarming stat shows Erik ten Hag has been unable to solve Manchester United’s biggest problem

Sir Alex Ferguson noted in February that Manchester United needed to sign someone in the summer who could help share the goal scoring burden with Marcus Rashford.

Van Persie was one of Sir Alex’s final high-profile transfers before his 2013 retirement. United have not reached the promised land of lifting the Premier League title since his final season and Erik ten Hag is not about to break this barren run this term.
