Alan Shearer laid into "flaky" Tottenham over their "typical" FA Cup exit at the hands of Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Spurs have made it 14 seasons without winning a trophy after they lost 1-0 after extra time to t he Championship side in their fifth round tie at Riverside Stadium.
After returning to winning ways with a dominant 4-0 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday, it looked like a potential turning point in Spurs’ season.
But the north London club slipped up once again by producing a lacklustre display.
Spurs had already bowed out of the Europa Conference League Group Stage in December, before falling to a semi-final defeat to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup in January.
And with the loss against Middlesbrough ended any hope of winning a trophy this season, BBC Sport pundit and Newcastle legend Alan Shearer slammed Tottenham for another predictable showing.
