Alan Shearer names five Sir Jim Ratcliffe decisions that caused chaos at Manchester United
Premier League legend Alan Shearer has admitted that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's first year in charge of Manchester United has caused chaos at Old Trafford.
Last year was dominated by speculation surrounding who would take over at Old Trafford. At first, it seemed a full takeover was on the cards from the Glazers but it later transpired that a minority stake was a preferred option.
This appeared to end Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani's push for the club with Ratcliffe's Ineos happy to take the minority stake with their focus being on the football side of the project. It took until February for everything to be signed, sealed and ratified by the Premier League.

Since then, things have been up and down for United. The Reds won the FA Cup in the summer while Ineos had little more than a watching brief but impatience has been growing among supporters after a number of decisions by Ratcliffe.
Speaking as a Betfair ambassador to the Daily Mail, Shearer named five events which have caused chaos at Old Trafford. "That’s (chaotic) the right word," he explained.
"It looks as if it's gone from a really bad situation to everyone thinking: 'Ratcliffe is in there now (everything will be fine)'. But ever since he walked in the door, whether it be putting ticket prices up, giving Erik ten Hag a new deal or giving him millions to spend on players and then sacking him and giving him compensation.
"Or whether it be paying £3m for Dan Ashworth after waiting for him on gardening leave (and then sacking him), it seems as if it has gone from one bad stage to another." Ineos' second transfer window could
