Alan Halsall's Coronation Street co-star pleads for ITV I'm A Celebrity stint and says why he'd be annoying

Coronation Street star Ben Price has already put himself forward for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here 2025 - but he revealed why he'd annoy his fellow campmates if he were to head into the jungle.

The cast of the ITV soap are currently rooting for Alan Halsall who was among the celebrities taking part in the 2024 series and at the time of writing, was among the six remaining campmates still in the reality competition.

The actor, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, is now among the many Corrie stars to head Down Under and take part in the ITV reality show in which a bunch of celebrities swaps their luxurious lives for the basics of a camp in the jungle, having to win food through tough trials.

Alan's stint Down Under is actually a year late as Alan, who is famed for playing Weatherfield's Tyrone Dobbs, was due to take part in I'm A Celeb's 2023 series before he had to undergo surgery. An ACL injury put him out of action and into regular rehab to recover.

But the long-time tradition of soap stars heading into the jungle could be set to continue with Ben's latest admission. The Nick Tilsley actor revealed on his On The Sofa podcast, which he co-hosts with Corrie pals Jack P Shepherd and Colson Smith: "I'd have a go."

He then said: "You know what? People would get naffed off with me cos I would go, yeah, go on, have a go," before he teased: "I'm going in next year - they've asked me! I'm stating it now so that the producers know in a heartbeat I will go on the jungle -, literally, if you pick up the phone, I will do it for free."
