Al-Nasr crowned champions of Karate Individual League in final round
EASTERN PROVINCE, Saudi Arabia: The last stage of the Karate Individual League Championship and the qualifying tournament for the Saudi Games in kata and first-degree fighting competitions ended on Saturday with Al-Nasr Club finishing first. The competitions were held in the presence of Dr. Musharraf Al-Shehri, Saudi Karate Federation’s president, and the participation of 19 clubs represented by more than 200 contenders at the Air Force Base’s hall in the Eastern Province.
As competitions concluded, Al-Nasr finished first after recording 207 points, meanwhile Al-Hilal came in as runners-up with 197 points. In the third place, Hira club recorded 149 points, followed by Al-Ahly in the fourth rank with 112 points. Al-Thaqbah club ranked fifth with 96 points followed by Al-Ittihad sixth with 92 points.
In the seventh rank came Al-Raed club with 91 points meanwhile Al Shabab came eighth with 84 points. Al Watani were ninth with 65 points and Al-Ma’a tenth with 64 points. Meanwhile, 60 players representing different clubs qualified for the Saudi Games.
