Ake, Ederson, Stones - Man City injury news and return dates ahead of Aston Villa

Manchester City have just a couple of days to recover from the draw with Arsenal before they are back in Premier League action.

City were held to a goalless draw with Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Pep Guardiola's side could not find the back of the net and missed out on the chance to gain ground on leaders Liverpool in the title race.

Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table with victory over Brighton on Sunday. City's draw with Arsenal leaves them in third place, three points behind the Anfield club, while Arsenal are second and one point ahead of City.

City will now prepare to face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium. However, Guardiola is likely to have to go into the game without some of his key players due to injury.

MEN Sport has provided a round-up of City's current injury list after the draw with Arsenal.

Nathan Ake is the latest player to be added to City's injury list ahead of the run-in.

Ake was replaced by Rico Lewis in the first half against Arsenal with an unspecified injury. It remains to be seen how long the defender will spend on the sidelines, with Guardiola likely to provide an update sometime this week.

Ederson has been sidelined since March 10 with a leg injury he sustained in the draw with Liverpool.
