Ajax send farewell message to Erik ten Hag ahead of joining Manchester United

Ajax have sent an emotional 'thank you' message and video to Erik ten Hag following his final game in charge of the club ahead of moving to Manchester United.

The 52-year-old took charge of Ajax for the final time on Sunday afternoon as they played out a 2-2 draw with Vitesse Arnhem in their final game of the season. The Dutchman, who took charge at the Johan Cruyff Arena in December 2017, enjoyed no shortage of success during his time in charge of the Amsterdam giants, leading them to six trophies, including three league titles. He will now be hoping for similar results at Old Trafford, but he has many challenges and hurdles to overcome before he can think about that.

Therefore, with his time at Ajax now completed, the club has shared a farewell message and video on their website to thank the Dutchman for all of his hard work and wish him the very best for the future.

"Under the leadership of Erik ten Hag Ajax has experienced some fantastic times in the last four years," the Dutch giants posted on their club website. "In this goodbye video for our departing manager we have
