'After having five children I wanted a tummy tuck - £9 product gave me confidence in my stomach again'

A mum-of-five has hailed a scar treatment brand for "significantly" reducing the appearance of her scars following an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), which left her with an anchor-shaped scar on her stomach. Scar Erase is a six-week treatment made up of medical-grade silicone strips that have been formulated to hydrate the scar site and reduce the redness that comes with such a mark, raising it and leaving it discoloured.

The treatment strips, which cost £28 for three - working out at £9.33 per strip - work by being adhered directly to the scar - which is formed due to moisture being lost, resulting in excessive collagen - and worn for a minimum of 12 hours a day.

This process helps to reduce the appearance of scars by improving the texture and colour of the affected area. Plus, the silicone material helps to lock in moisture, which helps to speed up the healing process."
