AFLW round-up: Wall's North Melbourne into Preliminary final

North Melbourne 74-38 Richmond Tigers

Vikki Wall helped North Melbourne set up a derby final date with Melbourne this day next week as they saw off Richmond Tigers 74-38 in their semi-final tie at Punt Road Oval to reach the Preliminary final.

Wall's team-mate, Cork's Erika O'Shea, missed her second game in a row with an eye injury but the Kangaroo's hopped past the Tigers in her absence to confirm their meeting with Melbourne Demons.

That tie will carry a distinctly Irish look, with the Demons looking to former Dublin star Sinéad Goldrick and Blaithin Mackin of Armagh to help secure a place in the Grand Final.

Adelaide Crows 23-11 Collingwood Magpies

Defending champions Adelaide saw off Collingwood in torrential rain at Unley Oval. That meant mixed fortunes for the four Irish women involved. Adelaide's Niamh Kelly of Mayo was heavily involved in her side's win, although her team-mate, Clare's Ailish Considine, missed out through injury.

For the defeated Magpies, Mayo star Sarah Rowe and Aishling Sheridan of Cavan saw their season end.

Adelaide, for their part, will go on to meet Orla O'Dwyer's (Tipperary) Brisbane in their prelim final on Friday 18 November.
