AFCON 2024: South Africa break Moroccan hearts in 2-0 masterclass

Earlier in the day, Mali also marched through to the quarters, edging out neighbours Burkina Faso 2-1. The Eagles opened the scoring when Bayern Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba scored an own goal. Mali made it 2 when Lassine Sinayoko slotted through the goalkeepers legs... a Bertrand Traore penalty wasn't enough though as the stallions crashed out.
