AEW World Championship match confirmed for Double Or Nothing 2022

The stage is set for one of the biggest championship matches in AEW history as AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page will have to defend his title against one of the best to step foot in a professional wrestling ring. Some say “The Best In The World”.

Hangman Adam Page has been unstoppable ever since capturing the AEW World Championship at Full Gear 2021 when he dethroned former tag team partner Kenny Omega. Page has defeated the likes of Lance Archer, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole and more to withstand his position at the top of the ladder in AEW.

However, the AEW World Champion will have his hands full again when AEW goes to the T-Mobile Arena on May 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada, for another edition of arguably AEW’s biggest PPV, Double Or Nothing.

It was revealed last night on AEW Dynamite that Page will defend his Championship against none other than CM Punk.

For the past couple of weeks, Punk has made his intentions clear regarding what he wants next, and that was to hold a major championship that has eluded him thus far in his career and capture the AEW World Championship.

This will be the first time that Hangman Adam Page and CM Punk will stand across each other inside the squared circle and it probably won’t be the last.

Hangman can continue a legendary championship run if he manages to put away CM Punk. However, if Punk was to win it means he could be AEW Champion just in time for when AEW returns to Chicago for Forbidden Door on June 26th.

You can watch AEW internationally on FITE TV.
