AEW: Wardlow discusses comparisons to former WWE star.

Ever since his debut in AEW, Wardlow has been dominant, and wrestling fans are comparing him to a former WWE star.

This comparison is none other than six-time WWE Champion, Batista.

The attributes Wardlow has; his size, strength, and overall presence are very similar to that of Batista’s early years.

The booking of him being the silent bodyguard for MJF in the Pinnacle gave off a similar narrative to that of Batista’s role in evolution where he was the muscle of the group.

Speaking to the Bleav in Pro Wrestling Podcast, Wardlow would address the Batista comparisons emerging online.Wardlow has made it clear in the past that his two favourite wrestlers growing up were Jeff Hardy and Batista.

Wardlow would go on to say that seeing side-by-side pictures of himself standing next to someone he grew up idolising was just “such a cool feeling”.

Wardlow stated that “you just can’t write it”. Referring to the parallels in careers between “Mr.Mayhem” and “The Animal” as both men have taken scarily similar paths within their first few years being booked as professional wrestlers.

He also went on to say that he would love to meet Batista one day as he is still someone that truly motivates him to be the best in the wrestling business

Wardlow is no doubt one of the fastest rising stars in professional wrestling and it is only a matter of time before he has gold wrapped around his waist.
