AEW Dynamite Results: Daniel Garcia defeats Bryan Danielson in shock upset
Last night AEW hosted a special Fight For The Fallen edition of Dynamite featuring the likes of AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley, FTW Champion Ricky Starks, and AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa, Sammy Guevara and more.
Plus, a huge main event between the Jericho Appreciation Society’s Daniel Garcia and the Blackpool Combat Club’s returning Bryan Danielson.
Jon Moxley ( c ) def Rush- AEW Interim World Championship
The match began with Rush rushing Moxley before the bell even rang and instantly taking the fight to the outside.
Mox would reply with a tope suicida to Rush on the outside, but El Toro Blanco was out for blood, using anything at his disposal to keep the champion grounded.
The match would continue to go back and forth, but the help of Andrade almost gave Rush the championship.
However, Rush would experience the same fate as all of Mox’s previous challengers, and that is to be put out via the bulldog choke.
Post-match sees Chris Jericho interrupt the celebrations. Moxley would lay out the challenge to the Lionheart Chris Jericho for Dynamite in Minneapolis, where Jericho gets his shot at the AEW World Championship.
Ricky Starks ( c ) def Danhuasen – FTW Championship
Danhausen would mock Starks at the start and would get served a big boot from the FTW Champion.
Starks would follow up with the spear to retain his championship.
HOOK def Ricky Starks ( c ) – FTW Championship
Starks would follow suit from last week and issue another challenge as he had more in the tank.
Former Team Taz student HOOK would answer Starks’ challenge. Starks tried to get offence, but HOOK would scout everything and make Starks submit via the Redrum to become the new FTW Champion.
