Administrators converge on Bauchi for 2024-25 NNL season’s plans

The leadership of the Nigeria National League (NNL) and administrators of different clubs nationwide have converged on Bauchi to strategise over the 2024/2025 season.

It is the yearly general meeting of the NNL, George Aluo, said, and it would set the timeline for the coming season after looking at the reports of the past edition.

Speaking in Bauchi at the weekend, Aluo said that the NNL board has within one year of its inauguration succeeded in changing the face of the league. He pledged to consolidate on the gains of the 2023/2024 league season.

“No doubt, the overall standard of the league, ranging from officiating to the attitudinal behaviour to the league operations has improved tremendously. We do hope this will be replicated in the 2024/2025 League season.

“To this end, the board humbly solicits for the understanding and the total cooperation of all club presidents and football stakeholders in order to smoothly prosecute the 2024/2025 League season.”

While declaring the meeting open, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who was the special guest of honour, commended the leadership of the NNL for its commitment to excellence and upholding the standards of football in Nigeria. 

Mohammed, who was represented by his Deputy, Auwal Jatau, said that NNL has been a pillar of grassroots football, fostering local talents and ensuring that the spirit of competition remains vibrant across all regions.
