Adam Idah tells Rangers that Celtic have no fear over Premiership title fight due to one key factor

Adam Idah insists Celtic have no fears charging into the business end of the season.

The Hoops have hit top gear going into the last five games of the Premiership scrap and are gearing up for Hampden and this weekend’s Scottish Cup last semi showdown with Aberdeen. Rivals Rangers have stumbled in recent weeks and handed the title advantage back across the city with just one league win in their last four games.

But in-form Idah – who followed up his Ibrox goal with another in Saturday’s win against St Mirren – is adamant there are no jitters at Parkhead with so many serial winners in the dressing room. The Irish attacker said: “This is something to relish rather than fear. It’s why you are in the game. These games are there to be won and we want to be the ones winning them.

“It does help to have that experience in the dressing room. You always need that experience. We have the likes of Callum McGregor, Joe Hart, James Forest – they bring so much to the squad.

“I also think having new guys in the team can help as well. Everyone has been here and there and you can pick up little things. That’s the good thing about this dressing room. It’s not just the experienced lads, we are all in this together. That’s what I love about it.”

Borrowed Norwich City ace Idah has admitted he does not know where his future lies beyond the end of the season. But he’s determined to savour every second with huge clashes coming thick and fast.

Idah said: “Every game in this period is huge. It’s a big stage in the league and we have the cup. Every game is important now.

“Everyone is feeling confident around the games and in training and we are all looking forward to it. We are excited for it – these are the moments you play football for.”
