‘According to club…’ - Ibrox contract news as Rangers source shares big update in last 24 hrs

Sharing news on midfielder Alex Lowry’s contract situation in the last 24 hours, a Rangers source from the Heart and Hand podcast has a big update for supporters.

On Wednesday morning, a major rumour came to light regarding the future of Lowry, a highly promising Gers player, with Football Insider claiming that the 18-year-old rejected a new deal offer.

Indeed, according to their sources, Rangers’ sensation snubbed the Ibrox club’s opening offer as they attempt to tie him down to a three-year deal – thereby throwing his future ‘up into the air’.

Naturally, this news gained traction among the fanbase, but now the Teddy Bears’ official media partner Heart & Hand have come out with a big update on the situation.

According to H&H, rumours of Lowry rejecting Gers’ advances are in fact ‘rubbish’ – as they claim sources inside the club have moved quickly to debunk the claim.

“According to club, rumours Lowry has turned down a new deal are ‘rubbish’,” claimed the source on Twitter.

The attacking midfielder, who has broken into Gers’ first team this season with three appearances, is apparently regarded by many at the Glasgow giants to be a player with huge potential.

Bearing this in mind, this update from H&H comes as a sigh of relief for Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst and the board – especially amid all their 0ther complex contract situations.

As the club aim to tie down the likes of Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent, who are both entering the final years of their contracts, news that Lowry hasn’t in fact rejected Rangers’ advances comes as good news.
