Ibrox latest news: Aaron Ramsey has 'not impressed enough' since signing for Rangers

Scottish journalist Chris Jack doesn’t believe that Aaron Ramsey has made a big enough impression on Giovanni van Bronckhorst during his short time at Rangers.

The 71-cap Welshman made the switch from Juventus on deadline day, but he has made just one start for the Glasgow giants.

When the 31-year-old made the surprise move from Juventus last month, there was a great deal of excitement from the Gers faithful, with many greeting him at Ibrox on his arrival.

Ramsey missed the chance to make his debut in the Old Firm derby, although given the 3-0 scoreline, it was probably a lucky escape for the midfielder.

He did make his first appearance for the club in the victory over Hearts four days later, before coming off the bench against Hibs the following week.

Ramsey’s full debut came against Annan in the Scottish Cup, playing the opening 60 minutes as Rangers cruised into the next round. However, since his late cameo in the first leg against Borussia Dortmund, the ex-Arsenal man hasn’t played a minute, sitting out the games with Dundee United and second leg Europa League tie with the German outfit.

He missed those games through injury, but Jack revealed that even when Ramsey was fit, he wasn’t doing enough.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “It’s safe to say he’s not impressed enough so far, and you look at how the season is shaping up, time is not on his side. There isn’t that many games left to get up to speed.”

As Jack alluded to, Ramsey might be just one month into his loan spell, but time is already running out for him to make an impression.
