Abuja Rubicon lift Majek, Independence cups at Lagos Polo tourney

Abuja Rubicon, at the weekend, braved the odds to win the prestigious Majekodunmi Cup at the ongoing 2025 GTCO/NPA Lagos International Polo Tournament holding at the Lagos Polo Club, Ribadu Road, Ikoyi.

“I want to dedicate this Majekodunmi Cup to my mother, who has been there for the team, calling every day to express confidence that we would triumph. Even before the final day, she called and asked the team to ensure we bring the Majekodunmi Cup to her.”

The Governor’s Cup, the Sani Dangote Memorial Cup, the Chief of Naval Cup, and the Cancer Awareness Bowl in support of the global campaign against the deadly Breast Cancer pandemic top the list of the subsidiary prizes to be won in the concluding week that would climax on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
