Abdallah Sima sends Rangers fans into transfer overdrive as target bigs up 'new adventure' awaiting him

Rangers target Abdallah Sima has sent Ibrox transfer sleuths in to overdrive as he teased his next move.

The Light Blues are reportedly closing in on a loan move for the Brighton winger who spent the majority of last season plying his trade in Ligue 1 with Angers after joining the Seagulls in 2021 for a fee of around £7million. Sima came up against Rangers in the Europa League with former club Slavia Prague, an encounter that may have sparked Michael Beale's interest when he was number two at Ibrox under Steven Gerrard.

The Senegalese international faced a tough campaign being unable to avoid relegation in France after following up a failed loan move to Stoke City with the move to France. But now a career renaissance could be on the cards in Glasgow with the Daily Mail touting the Gers as 'frontrunners' to sign the 22-year-old.

Beale is looking to move quickly and could make Sima signing number five after the services of Jack Butland, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell and Sam Lammers were all secured in recent weeks. The report states the Scottish outfit want Sima on board before the pre-season gets fully underway.

And while the youngster's spell at Angers didn't end in success, he penned a long message on his Instagram to fans but crucially hinted that a 'new adventure' was awaiting him.
