Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot - The right-back Manchester United should start 2023/24 with

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will use the club's upcoming pre-season schedule to put his plans for the forthcoming campaign into practice.

After a successful first season at Old Trafford, the Dutchman will be looking to build on the foundations that have been laid and attempt to take the club to even greater heights. United finished third in the Premier League and won the Carabao Cup last term, meaning they will want to improve their league position and add more silverware to their collection.

To make those ambitions possible, the United manager wants to add to a handful of areas within his squad in this summer's transfer window. United have prioritised the additions of a first-choice goalkeeper, a midfielder and a world-class striker, though they have not completely ruled out the idea of recruiting a new right-back as well.

Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka shared the right-back spot last season, with Dalot dominating it prior to the World Cup, before Wan-Bissaka made an unlikely comeback in the New Year. It means they will both, in the event of United not signing a new right-sided full-back this summer, be desperate to top the pecking order next season.
