Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers QB fuming on the sidelines after poor 1st half
Aaron Rodgers was left visibly frustrated with how the Green Bay Packers were performing during the first half of their game against the Minnesota Vikings.
The relationship between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers has been shaky for a number of years now, well before they decided to draft Utah State quarterback Jordan Love with the 26th pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
When you are arguably the greatest and most talented quarterback of your generation, and you can only get to one Super Bowl in that time despite bailing out the team a number of times and the franchise don’t always draft to help you, then you’d probably be frustrated too.
The back-to-back reigning NFL MVP did appear to put a lot of that anger behind him this season, signing a big contract that will more than likely see him end his career with the Packers.
But his frustration appears to be aimed at more than just those above him in the organisation to start the 2022 NFL season, the players and coaching staff appeared to be in for some criticism in Week 1 as they took on the Minnesota Vikings.
In a very pedestrian first half, Rodgers and the Packers failed to score a single point, but did have a couple of great chances to get on the board. They had a goalline stand that was stuffed by the Vikings defenders:
