Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale started for England last night in the Three Lions' 0-0 draw against Italy at Molineux, as Gareth Southgate's men's winless start to their Nations League campaign continued.
The positives coming out of the game for England was the performances from the backline, with Ramsdale in particular impressing, making a number of top saves to deny the Azzurri from taking all three points, one of which was a superb point-blank stop to deny Sandro Tonali.
Jordan Pickford is currently still the number one for the national team, with Ramsdale and Burnley's Nick Pope behind in the pecking order.

But the former Sheffield United keeper has stated that he doesn't consider himself as a number two, reiterating that he will be pushing Pickford to the maximum.
“By no means I am second choice,” Ramsdale said. “I am pushing me, I am pushing him (Pickford). If I can put performances in like that a little bit more when I get the chance, I think I will be pushing him all the way.
"There are a lot of very good English goalkeepers not at this camp. And it’s a great challenge here - Jordan, myself and Nick (Pope) push each other every day.”
