But besides the team’s mouthwatering display, the record-breaking debut of young Ethan Nwaneri will maybe have provided Gunners fans with the most satisfaction of all.

The 15-year-old, who was born in March 2007, made history as the youngest person to ever compete in a Premier League match when he was subbed on in the 91st minute.

He took the record from Harvey Elliott, who has 16 years and 30 days old when he first appeared for Fulham in 2019.

Nwaneri comfortably beat the record held by Elliott given the Englishman was just 15 years and 181 days old.
