Aaron McKenna starts the year against Linus Udofia in Liverpool
Aaron McKenna will put his unbeaten record and WBC International Middleweight belt on the line as he takes on Linus Udofia in Liverpool on 20 January.
The Monaghan man has won all 17 of his fights since turning professional in 2017 and will look to work his way towards world title contention with a victory over the former British title challenger.
McKenna, who has enjoyed eight knock-out victories thus far in his career, was taken the distance in his last outing in June against Uisma Lima, albeit winning the York Hall contest comfortably by unanimous decision.
The clash with Udofia will take place on the undercard of the IBF welterweight world title fight between Natasha Jonas and Mikaela Mayer at the Echo Arena.
McKenna is currently ranked 25th on the most recent WBC world rankings.
"McKenna vs Udofia is an excellent addition to an already stacked card," said BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom.
"It's a fascinating contest. McKenna has answered every question asked of him so far in his undefeated career."
