'A knock on my door at 1am took him away from me - this knock has changed my life forever'

The devastated family of a young man killed in a horror crash have spoken of their heartbreak after a driver was locked up for his death.

Jordan Welsby, 26, died after a delivery driver who had been messaging his girlfriend on Snapchat just moments earlier crashed into him. Faisal Yasin, 25, of Rochdale, has been jailed for causing death by careless driving

A series of heart wrenching statements were read out to Liverpool Crown Court during his sentencing on Wednesday September 20, on behalf of Jordan's mum, dad and girlfriend. The former described how she had to delay her own wedding for a year following her son's death, with Jordan having been due to walk her down the aisle alongside his brother Callum, reports the Liverpool ECHO.

"Jordan has missed Christmases, birthdays and my wedding. Jordan was supposed to walk me down the aisle, but he couldn't. It's fair to say that the day wasn't the same without him.

"There are reminders of my son everywhere, from board games to rugby
