A worrying injury claim has been made over the fitness of Celtic attacker Kyogo Furuhashi…

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that there is a chance that the forward will not play any more matches for the club before the end of the campaign.

The reporter has questioned when the Japan international will be able to be back in competitive action for the Hoops and has admitted that he may not feature again this term.

O’Rourke told GIVEMESPORT: “To be missing him, and not being sure when he might return, who knows, he might not even play again this season, is going to be a huge blow because you want your best players, especially this season when you are challenging for honours.

The supporters will also be worried about his fitness not having him available could have a big say in the title race with Rangers.

The 27-year-old has been phenomenal since making his move to the club last summer. He has scored eight goals in 14 Premiership matches and registered two goals and two assists in five Europa League outings for the side.

In all competitions, he has scored 16 times and provided five assists in 26 appearances for the Hoops. This shows that he is able to be a difference-maker in the final third with his ability to score and create goals at an impressive rate.
