£80m price tag, replacement fear, Bayern bid - Man United Bruno Fernandes transfer verdict
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
MEN Sport understands Bayern Munich are interested in purchasing the Portuguese midfielder and the 29-year-old is receptive to a move away from the Premier League club. Players in the squad are understood to be worried that Fernandes will depart at the end of the season.
United would prefer to keep Fernandes at the club and he is under contract until 2026. But, as we have seen previously, if a player wants to leave they are likely to get their way.

Amid news of his potential departure, the Manchester Evening News asked its United writers whether they would sell the skipper or not.
In an ideal world Fernandes is going nowhere this summer, but the world United inhabit at the moment is a long, long way from ideal. First of all let's look at it from the player's side.
He has been a consistent performer since his arrival in January 2020 and has been the club's best player in that time. He has devoted his peak years to United and in a period of upheaval his standards have barely dropped. For that he has a Carabao Cup medal and in the season he turns 30 he might not be playing in Europe at all. Can you blame him if he wants out?
United might be open for a sale because he is one of the few assets in this squad that can attract a good fee. His original fee has also been paid off in terms of amortisation so it would all count as profit and reflect well in terms of what the club can spend this summer. There are positives to selling if the offer is too good to refuse.
But his input would be missed as a record of 143 goals or assists in 230 games
