8 players you probably forgot ever played for Bristol Rovers

After relegation from League One last season, Bristol Rovers are looking for an immediate return to the third tier of English football – and Joey Barton has them in a good position to do just that.

Barton was unable to save the Gas from the drop, but he was allowed to build a team in his own shape and after a slow start to the 2021-22 campaign, Rovers have found their feet in recent months.

Rovers have lost just three times in 2022 and it’s pushed them into an automatic promotion push with not many games left remaining, with the performances of the likes of Aaron Collins and Stoke loanee Connor Taylor particularly impressive.

But down the years there have been individuals who have signed for Rovers and been utterly forgettable and not put in the performances that have been expected.
