Preston North End have worked admirably on a shoestring budget in recent years but that has meant the club have also seen plenty of flops pass through their door.

They’ve uncovered solid players like Ben Pearson, Callum Robinson and Daniel Johnson, who cost the club a combined total of less than £1m.
