Barnsley have produced some impressive players for their first team in recent years with many moving on to higher places.

The Tykes even added to the depth of their squad as they finished fifth in the Championship last season with players from the youth ranks and will continue to do so in years to come.

Romal Palmer netted a consolation goal in the club’s recent defeat at Millwall recently and has been an exciting up and coming player for a few years now at Oakwell.

It will be interesting to see how the cultured midfielder progresses his career should the Tykes suffer relegation to League One this term.

Jasper Moon and Matty Wolfe have also chipped in with vital contributions this season and will be hoping to accelerate their respective development paths with more regular opportunities next term.
