Blackpool will be determined to move forward as a club next season after comfortably consolidating their place in the Championship during the 2021/22 campaign following their promotion from League One.

Despite initially making a poor start to the season, the Seasiders eventually adjusted to life in the second-tier and went on to produce some impressive performances under the guidance of head coach Neil Critchley.

Having recently secured a 16th place finish in the second-tier standings, Blackpool’s attention will now switch to recruitment ahead of the summer transfer window.

Whereas Critchley’s side may be tempted to spend some money in order to secure the services of players between now and the start of the 2022/23 season, they may also find it beneficial to recruit individuals who are currently on course to be available on free transfers.
