5 Rangers vs Tottenham clashes as furious Gazza and Ian Ferguson spat remembered

Rangers' Premier League double header concludes this weekend as they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Ibrox. A strong 3-1 victory over West Ham in midweek has Giovanni van Bronckhorst 's side building momentum but now they face a serious test with the new season moving ever closer.

Expectations are high for Antonio Conte's Spurs this year and it's all set for a fascinating 90 minutes on Saturday. These are familiar foes and this will be the 12th recorded meeting between the teams.

They will also be competing for the Walter Tull Memorial Cup. The trophy honours Tull as the first outfield black player in British football and he had links to both clubs throughout his career - he signed for Tottenham in 1909 and later penned a deal at Rangers in 1917 despite having spent the previous two years on the front line of World War I. The teams served up seven goals on the day, with Rangers edging it against a side featuring Harry Kane and Dele Alli. They did, however, go on to lose one of the most dramatic Hampden finals in history.
