32 football clubs set for battle as 7th Bola Akindele U-15 today

The 7th edition of the Bola Akindele Under 15 boys and girls football competition will kick off today at the Nigeria Railway Institute Football pitch, Ebute Metta, Lagos.

Speaking at the unveiling of trophies, organisers of the tournament, Courteville Business Solutions, in collaboration with Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association said this year’s edition will witness huge turnout of young football clubs across Lagos state.

The two matches to be played in today’s opening day are Sirdona FC versus Dragon FC, while Ultimate Strikers will battle Rock FC.

Aside the Nigeria Railway Institute Football pitch, Ebute Metta, Lagos, the organisers have also pencilled down two centres for the competition. They are the Gbajabiamila Sports Complex and Abati Barracks in Surulere.

Hafuka Abubakre, the assistant secretary, Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association, said the tourney is organised to discover young talents at a tender age and nurture them to stardom.
“I want our teams to shun any form of social vices during this tournament,” he said.

The main sponsor of the competition, Bola Akindele, urged the players to put in their best throughout the tournament.
