3 ways the SPFL can fix VAR as Premiership boss lays out straightforward plan to reduce the damage

Seething St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson has set out a three-point plan to save Scottish football from its VAR nightmare.

“We all make mistakes and I make plenty of them. If it was my decision it would be goal-line technology and offsides. And it takes longer than two minutes to make the decision, then it’s not clear and obvious so move on and stick to the referee’s decision.

“Reduce it to that and the offside and goalline technology and let’s be able to celebrate goals. Let’s enjoy it again instead of wondering what’s going to be seen or we take five minutes to find something to prevent a goal. Reduce what it’s being used for and the real blatant errors. We’ll still get mistakes but let them get on with it.”
