3 things we clearly learnt about Luton Town after their 1-1 draw v Peterborough

Jonson Clarke-Harris’ leveller in the 87th minute confined Luton Town to a draw at Peterborough United last night, with the Hatters remaining in fourth place.

Danny Hylton opened the scoring for the Hatters in the 49th minute when he tapped in from Fred Onyedinma’s cross.

Sitting on 65 points, Nathan Jones’ side still possess a three-point advantage over Blackburn Rovers in seventh, going into important clashes with Huddersfield Town and Nottingham Forest.

Here, we take a look at three things we learnt about the Hatters during their 1-1 draw with Peterborough last night…

Danny Hylton is still an important member of the squad

Not seeing as much football as he did during the League’s One and Two days, Danny Hylton is still proving to be of value when called into the side.

The veteran forward was in the right place at the right time to convert from Onyedinma’s cross, netting what was his fourth of the season.

Hylton is averaging a goal every 115 minutes of Championship football this season, proving to still be an important scorer of goals.

Missing the creativity of Luke Berry and Jordan Clark

Luke Berry and Jordan Clark have collectively missed large chunks of this season, with the attacking midfield duo certainly missed against Posh last night.

The pair have the ability to unlock defences and provide the spark in tightly-contested matches and could have played a big role in last night’s draw.

It remains to be seen how long they will miss, with Clark, particularly an integral part of how the Hatters play this season.

If they do it, they will do it the hard way

Given the lead up until the 87th minute, the Hatters will definitely feel like it is two points dropped, that is despite Peterborough playing really well.
