24-y/o starts: The predicted Millwall XI to face Preston North End tonight

The Lions are still looking to close in on the play-off positions under Gary Rowett and will no doubt be in confident mood this evening as they take to the pitch at the Den once more.

A victory for Rowett’s side could see them move up as high as tenth place depending on how many goals they put past their visitors from Lancashire.

They take on a Preston side that are on an unbeaten run  of two games, having also beaten West Brom and drawn with Bristol City last time out as they continue to improve under the guidance of Ryan Lowe at Deepdale.

Here, we take you through our predicted Millwall starting eleven for their game against North End this evening.

Bartosz Bialkowski will be looking to keep his second clean sheet in a row as he takes his place between the sticks once more for the Lions.

Murray Wallace, Jake Cooper and Shaun Hutchinson will form the back three, with this defensive system having worked well for Millwall this season.

This means that both Scott Malone and Danny McNamara will act as the attacking wing backs as they look to charge forwards at every given opportunity.

In central midfield Billy Mitchell and Maikel Kieftenbeld will be looking to win the battle for domination in the middle of the park.

Meanwhile Mason Bennett and Oliver Burke will act as the shadow striker for lone frontman Benik Afobe, with the trio looking to combine as effectively as they did against West Brom last time out this evening.

It is sure to be another stern test for Rowett’s men but they have already shown that they can upset the odds that are stacked against them this season.
